Set in the 1970s, a rebellious teen's plan to escape her controlling mother leads to unexpected consequences - and a long-overdue conversation about love, fear, and the ties that bind.
Synopsis
Charlie dreams of the world beyond her small town and her mother's stern watch. Convinced her mother resents her, Charlie takes her baby sister, Ivy, and hits the road. Their escape is short-lived. A police officer intercepts them, sending them back home. What follows is a raw and tender heart-to-heart between mother and daughter - one that reveals the depth of their love, despite a history of misunderstanding. Set against the backdrop of the 1970s, The Road to You is a moving drama about family, generational tension, and the winding path to reconciliation.
