Charlie dreams of the world beyond her small town and her mother's stern watch. Convinced that life beyond their mother's resentment would be better for them both, Charlie leaves home and takes her baby sister, Ivy, with her. But their escape is soon thwarted and they are sent right back home. What follows is a raw and tender heart-to-heart between mother and daughter, one that reveals the depth of their love despite a history of misunderstanding. 

The Road to You is a heartfelt short about breaking cycles, healing generational wounds, and learning how to listen to the people we love, even when their words are painful to hear. If you're drawn to emotionally rich storytelling with a nostalgic touch, this film is for you.

Trivia

Production design aimed to recapture the nostalgia of the 1970s by filming at real locations including the Jack Kerouac House of St. Pete, and sourcing vintage clothing, props, and vehicles.
